Dublin is one of Europe’s best loved cities and is the perfect location to learn English. With a population of just one million, Dublin has a unique village atmosphere where people take time to talk to each other, in fact conversation was once described as our national past time.

Dublin is also a vibrant, energetic, cosmopolitan city with plenty to see and enjoy There are a host of galleries, museums ,and theatres as well as excellent restaurants, cafes, bars and the famous Irish pub waiting to be discovered.

Our Adult social programme takes advantage of all that Dublin has to offer with a variety of cultural and leisure excursions to choose from including visits to Guinness storehouse , the national museum and Dublin castle as well as literary tours and musical evenings

Things to do while in Dublin

  • Visit a castle – step back in time and come with us on a visit to Dublin Castle once the seat of Anglo Norman power in Ireland
  • Have a pint -Take a tour of the world famous Guinness Brewery and discover the process and people behind this unique beer and the secret of why the best Guinness in the world comes from Dublin
  • Learn about the story of Dublin – visit Dublinia the award winning exhibition which recreates the sights and sounds of medieval Dublin which offers a fascinating glimpse of life in Dublin 800 years ago. Visits also to the National museum the National Gallery and the National writers museum.
  • Shop til you drop – Dublin offers a wonderful selection of shops with something for everyone. Stroll through the city’s best shopping area of Grafton Street or visit the new Dundrum town centre the largest shopping centre in Europe with cinemas bars and restaurants and
  • Rock and stroll Visit some of the most important places associated with Irelands famous rock and pop artists such as U2 Van Morrison, Enya, the Corrs and Thin lizzy
  • Literary Dublin -workshops on Dublin’s famous writers including Joyce Beckett Shaw and Wilde
  • Dance the night away – put on your dancing shoes and learn to dance like they do in Riverdance. An evening of Traditional music and dance is a must.
  • Into the West - Take a trip outside Dublin to the West of Ireland . Visit to the Aran islands and the cliffs of Moher .
