Young Learners have the opportunity to be accommodated with our specially chosen Host Families who will care for and look after them as they would their own children. Our families are located either within walking distance of the school or a simple short trip using public transport. As well as practicing their English, staying with an Irish family has many benefits apart from their English, Young Learners learn about another culture, increase their confidence and learn how Irish families live.
All our families have been carefully selected and are visited regularly by the LLI Accommodation manager.
In most cases Young Learners will share a twin with a student of a different nationality which means the Young Learner can make a new friend and continue to speak English at home as well as at school!
Young Learners have breakfast and dinner with their host family everyday. A packed lunch is provided during the week and also on Saturdays for the full-day excursion. Students have lunch with their host families on Sundays.
Laundry and Bed Linen
Bed linen is provided but students should bring their own towels. Laundry can be included with the family wash unless special care is required such as hand washing or dry cleaning, in which case, a student should take care of his or her own laundry.
